* Amazon launches official Cyber Monday sale
* Thousands of carry-over deals from Black Friday
* New promotions expected
Cyber Monday is just around the corner now and there are already thousands of deals to check out this weekend. As the dust starts to settle on Black Friday we're starting to pick up our coverage early with a live blog of news, tips, and of course tons of deals recommendations.
So far, Best Buy and Walmart are yet to officially label their deals 'Cyber Monday', but Amazon has already made the switch. It won't come as a surprise that most of the deals that have been listed over the past few days are rolling on through into this weekend, give or take a few exceptions that have sold out.
Will there be any fresh promotions? If the last few Cyber Mondays are anything to judge by then we could be in store for a few surprises. Sit tight for any highlights as we'll be keeping our eyes peeled for any diamonds in the rough.
So far, we've seen some fantastic discounts on everything from big-screen TVs to mattresses, and we'll of course be posting our favorites shortly. Need a quick overview of what's available this weekend? Check our quick links section at the top of the page.
TechRadar deals editors Alex Whitelock and James Pickard are running our Cyber Monday deals live blog this morning. But you'll find tips, tricks, and expert product insight here from the whole TechRadar team to help you grab the gear and gadgets you want at the lowest possible price.
We're busy searching all the top retailers for discounts on the top-performing tech, home, fitness and wellness products that have made it through our tough testing process. Sometimes we'll surface great deals here on interesting items that we haven't tested, too (we'll tell you when we haven't used a product ourselves.) And if we can find a better offer on the same product at another retailer, we'll share that as well.
Good morning all! We're kicking off our Cyber Monday deals coverage for 2022 a little earlier this year, giving plenty of time to find any highlights - and post a couple of our favorite holdouts from yesterday's sale.

The iPhone 15 is still a long way off, but we've already heard numerous rumors about it. New to the pile is an analyst prediction that the Pro models are going to get solid-state, haptic buttons that don't physically move and sit flush with the body of the phones.
That's as per Barclays analysts Blayne Curtis and Tom O'Malley, based in part on comments made by Cirrus Logic CEO John Forsyth (via MacRumors). Cirrus Logic already supplies some of the haptic technology that is in the current iPhones.
The company has mentioned new components coming to market in the second half of next year, which coincidentally is when Apple is going to be bringing out new iPhones, and... well, you can see why people are joining the dots.
Click or twist
These buttons use vibrations to simulate the sensation of them being touched, even though they don't actually move – see also the trackpads on newer MacBook models, and the home buttons on the recent iPhone SE phones.
This backs up a prediction we heard from noted Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, back in October. He also thinks the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max (if that's indeed what they are called) will go without physical buttons, though they'll still be attached to the cheaper iPhone 15 models apparently.
We should find out for sure in September 2023. Going with solid-state buttons would improve water resistance and reduce the chance of mechanical failure, though you don't of course get quite such a satisfying click feeling (at least in our opinion).
Analysis: Pro goes Pro-er
For the last couple of years we've seen Apple adding more and more features to the Pro-level iPhones to make them the more appealing options – and with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, they actually had a faster processor for the first time.
It would appear that this trend is going to continue next year, which is something that we've been hearing for a while. It pushes consumers towards the more expensive models, and means the standard editions can be produced more cheaply.
Previous rumors suggest that we're looking at a jump to 8GB of RAM for the iPhone 15 Pro next year, as well as a periscope camera. There will of course be a brand new processor as well, most probably the A17 Bionic (while the A16 goes into the standard iPhone 15).
There's also been talk of an iPhone 15 Ultra, which may replace the iPhone 14 Pro Max in next year's line-up. This would differentiate the available models even further – and would no doubt come with a hefty price attached to it.
Windows 11’s latest version has suffered at the hands of a bug that messes quite badly with gaming performance for some users, leading to the 22H2 update being blocked on those PCs to prevent the problem manifesting – but the good news is that upgrade block has now been partially lifted.
In case you missed this one, the Windows 11 22H2 bug in question caused “lower than expected performance” with some games (and indeed other software), including stuttering frame rates (a seriously off-putting phenomenon). This was due to GPU debugging features errantly being used on the affected PCs.
As Neowin noticed, Microsoft has not actually fixed this issue – yet – but has added a fresh note to its release health dashboard which states the following: “The safeguard hold with the safeguard ID of 41990091 has been updated to only safeguard Windows devices which have one of the small subset of games and apps which are still affected by this issue.”
What this means is that a lot of Windows 11 users who had previously been blocked with the mentioned safeguard hold are now clear to download the 22H2 update – only people who run one of a small number of games and apps that are vulnerable to the bug are now being stopped from upgrading.
Analysis: The unlucky ones will just have to wait patiently – but for how long?
Hopefully that means the majority of PC gamers who were being held back from upgrading due to this flaw are now able to go ahead and grab the Windows 11 22H2 update. However, you may not see the upgrade straightaway, and as Microsoft observes, it can take up to 48 hours before the block is lifted and 22H2 is actually offered up.
That said, as Microsoft posted this on its health dashboard a few days ago, the upgrade should now be available to everyone who is freshly eligible to pick it up. If you still haven’t been offered the 22H2 update, it’s worth rebooting your PC and checking for updates – but if that doesn’t do the trick, then you’re likely one of the unlucky people who are still affected by the bug.
In that case, about all you can do is wait patiently for Microsoft to get its act together and implement a full solution to this problem. As to how long that’ll take, well, your guess is as good as ours.
To give you something of an idea, thornier bugs can take some unpicking, and we recently witnessed a rather unpleasant Windows 11 printer bug – one that stripped critical features from some devices, like being able to print in color for example – take two months to be resolved. Hopefully this gaming glitch won’t prove to be as complex an issue to remedy, but who knows.
Not being able to upgrade to the most recent version of Windows 11 is a frustrating experience, seeing as you may miss out on feature additions, or perhaps more worryingly, work on the security front to fix vulnerabilities – and the latter could conceivably leave your PC open to being exploited.
That’s why we generally advise folks to upgrade fairly swiftly, although on the other hand, it’s sometimes best to be a little cautious on the very day an update comes out, as early adopters can run into show-stopping bugs or problems introduced by the upgrade. In other words, it can be prudent to hold off for a short while, but don’t hang about for too long – just enough time to monitor the news headlines and online forums to see if any nasty sounding glitches have emerged with any given update.

Welcome to our live blog of the best Black Friday laptop deals we've found. Throughout the day (and over the weekend, leading up to Cyber Monday), we'll be checking out retailers across the internet and highlighting the top sales on all manner of laptops, from high-end Ultrabooks and gaming laptops, to affordable budget notebooks and Chromebooks.
Buying a new laptop can be a stressful and confusing process at the best of times, but during Black Friday when deals are popping up all over the place, it can be even more hectic. It can be particularly difficult to tell the difference between what's a good deal, and what isn't.
To make things easier, we're here to help. We'll be highlighting only the best deals we think are worth buying, and we'll give our expert buying advice and explain why these deals are so good, and what kind of use cases these laptops excel at.
Matt is managing editor of TechRadar's Core Tech division, covering laptops, PCs, smartphones and more. He's been covering Black Friday sales for years, so knows a good laptop deal when he sees one. If you have any questions, contact him on Twitter and he'll try to help.
Welcome to our live blog, where we'll be highlighting the very best Black Friday laptop deals as they pop up across the internet. As you may expect, laptop deals have been coming in thick and fast, and I'll be highlighting the best deals as they appear.

If you want a big list of all the best laptop deals on Black Friday, we have a comprehensive guide, but this live blog will be used to surface some truly exciting laptop deals as I find them.
I'll also go into depth about what makes these laptop deals so good.
Let's start with the very cheapest laptop you can buy in the UK on Black Friday (that's actually worth buying: the Asus C204MA Chromebook, which is just £119.99 at Amazon.
This is a brilliant little laptop for kids and students, or anyone who wants a second laptop without spending a fortune. It's not powerful, but it runs Chrome OS well (the operating system, which is based on Google's Chrome web browser).
For day to day tasks, like browsing the web or typing up documents (such as home work), then you're not going to find a better laptop at this ultra-low price.
Want a cheap Windows 11 laptop in the UK for Black Friday? Of course you do! In my book, this is the best value Windows 11 laptop on sale: the Acer Aspire 3, which is £349 at Currys.
While the CPU isn't that great, it's a 10th gen Intel Core i3, it's not awful for this price, and the 256GB SSD is a bit on the small side. However, it comes with 8GB of RAM, which I think is the minimum you want to run Windows 11 smoothly. Many cheap Windows 11 laptop deals on Black Friday come with 4GB of RAM, so keep an eye out for that, as it'll lead to a slow and annoying laptop that will make you feel you've wasted your money, even if you haven't spent much.
'What about laptop deals in the US?' I hear you... type. Good question, and as you'd expect, there's some excellent deals over there as well for Black Friday.
The absolute cheapest laptop I've seen in the US that's worth buying on Black Friday is the HP 11.6-inch Chromebook for $79.
Yes, it's another Chromebook, but as I've told anyone who cares to listen (and, to be fair, people who would rather I just shut up), if you're after a laptop for around $100, you should steer clear of Windows laptops and go for a Chromebook instead - you'll get a much better experience, as long as you keep your expectations in check.

An absolute bargain ultrabook if you're on a budget
Here we go folks, a Black Friday Apple deal that's offering nearly unbeatable bang for the buck versus the competition – something you don't see every day. We've always been a fan of the older MacBook Air M1 here at TechRadar and right now it's at its lowest price at Amazon US.
Apple MacBook Air (M1):was $999 now $799 at Amazon The 2020 Apple MacBook Air with M1 chip is one of the best laptops ever made, so finding it on sale makes it even better. You can get 10% off the entry-level configuration with 8GB memory and 256GB of SSD storage with this Amazon deal.View Deal
Why do we recommend this older model? Well firstly, while it may not have the most modern design or chip inside, the Apple MacBook Air M1 still really holds up well for 2022 for the vast majority of users. It's lightweight, decently powerful, has excellent battery life, and it's much, much easier on the pocket than the M2 version.
For context, the M2 version is currently sitting at $1,049 at Amazon US for Black Friday. That's also a record-breaking deal but it's a whopping $350 more than the above listing on the older model. Overall, we'd say the listing on the older model is the better Black Friday MacBook deal of the two for most users. In the UK? Here's the cheapest listing we've found today.
MacBook Air (M1, 2020):was £999 now £879 at Amazon Stock for the MacBook Air M1 is now more stable and we're seeing some better discounts as we head toward Black Friday. This configuration offers 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD, which is a solid spec for all your computing needs. Today's price is the best we've seen in months, so it's a great time to buy.View Deal
On the surface, this Amazon UK doesn't seem quite as good as the equivalent listing in the US but don't be put off – it's still the lowest price yet in this territory. If you're interested in the Gold color, you'll find that one for £819 today at Amazon, an even lower price versus the more popular Silver version.

Our high-end MacBook pick today
Looking to flash a bit of cash to get something truly special this Black Friday? Our pick for professionals or those in need of some power is this deal from Best Buy on the MacBook Pro 14:
Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch (M1 Pro):was $1,999 now $1,599 at Best Buy This huge early Black Friday deal at Best Buy brings the stunning MacBook Pro 14 down to its lowest-ever price. While still a little on the pricey side, this machine is a fantastic option for creative and productivity applications thanks to its combination of a powerful M1 Pro processor, gorgeous display, and fantastic premium design.View Deal
As stated, this $400 price cut at the retailer is the lowest ever price on this relatively in-demand product. While we wouldn't recommend it for everyone due to its price, those who can get the most out of its powerful M1 Pro chip will find a lot to like with this model.
Everything is top-shelf – from the design to the components – and its access to the usual MacOS suite makes it a perfect pick for creative professionals in particular. It's so good, in fact, that we picked it as our laptop of the year for 2022.
In the UK? Here's the cheapest price we've found in your region - just know that it's note quite as good of a deal as the above Best Buy listing in the US (it's still the cheapest listing ever, though).
Apple MacBook Pro 14-inch (M1 Pro):was £1,899 now £1,725 at Amazon
If you prefer the comfortable middle ground between big-screen and compact, the 14-inch MacBook Pro is the way to go. This model is very middle-of-the-road in terms of hardware specs too, with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD supporting the M1 Pro chip at its core.View Deal
